GeOW is miserable for me single player...can't rely on computer intelligence and love having a friend to coordinate with. Some games I buy specifically for gameplay for me (obviously DS titles, etc). Some games I buy specifically because of coop with friends...like Fifa, Winning 11, etc. Rainbow 6 Vegas I bought just for live and to play with some friends back in the states...so it really just boils down to the game.
That said sometimes the coop can be an amazing value I wouldn't have thought of at first. Take GeOW...thought I'd be playing that by myself...turns out it's great for two. I love the added coop fun on Kameo..wouldn't have thought it'd be that way. Also Crackdown is a blast with coop, but wish it allowed two player in the house as well....

How do i know what format the drive is in?
Plug the external drive into your MacBook Pro, and open a finder window. The WD drive should show up in the left part of the finder window, under devices.
Right-click on the drive, and click on "Get Info".
In the Info window, part way down you'll see the format. For example:
Format: MS-DOS (FAT32)
or
Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
or
something else for NTFS...
Remember, you can't reformat a drive (or a partition) without losing the files currently on that drive (partition). So, you MUST copy the files somewhere else, first.

Hi,..
Things made for vinyl don't sound right digital, similarly things made for digital sound stupid on vinyl (though many artists still sell vinyls in this way). At least this has been my experience.

ok so i tried the stuff
wasnt sure what the "re pairing" was, i was guess it was having it connected to the unit and restarting etc...
none of that worked.
i then decided to try to downgrade to 3.1.2 and that doesnt work either.
i am not working with a jailbroken ipod.
how do i downgrade to 3.1.2.... i have followed directions from another thread which i couldnt get to work. when i try it says the device isnt eligible for the requested build

so im going to italy from california and i was thinking of getting a psp game for the plane rides. these are pretty darn long - 10 hours (i dunno). so for there and back 10 hours after subtracting listening to ipod and socializing. what game would you recommend?

right -- just tried 2-3 different ways to get some qt streams. indeed, i got a couple stations playing classical music (WGBH Boston, WCPE), but all the selections that were always there in the past are gone, e.g. npr, cnn, abc, bbc etc. either an error (-2129) on trying to open, or the blurb about channel selection having changed, please update your existing software. i have tried to update, and i assure, there are no updates available.

I was looking to get the Sony DSC-W7 camera mainly because my friend has the 5 MP version and I find it very nice, with its large screen and all. I can the the W7 for about $340 which I think is a good price.
My question is can anyone recommend a better camera in the 7 MP range that might be a better camera? The most I would spend is $400. and should I get a camera that can support RAW images, because this W7 one does JPG and not RAW.

Hello, if you look at my other post on the LaCie there is some info that I got from LaCie and some cd/dvd manfs. about the type of disc you need.
The burner won't be out untill mid March and as LaCie's web page says they are taking pre-orders.

Yes only certain media will work, TDK, HP (it's their drive in it), Verbatim and only the "+" R media since none of the companies are making any other media as of yet. I've just reset my dad's iPhone and synced it with his Exchange account, since all the contacts are there. The issue is that the default way of adding contacts to the iPhone (via the recent calls or the dialer) saves the contacts locally.
Is there any good way to have the contacts saved by default to the Exchange instead?
On a side note, opening the contacts and adjusting it slightly is very slow.

If you want a true fresh state, use the Software Installation and Restore media that came with your system. See Apple Knowledge Base article #42929 (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=42929) and if you have DVDs, the process for either of the PowerBooks should be the same as for your MacMini.
EDIT: This stil won't work because the only way to run this utility is AFTER the Setup Assistant finishes; I've never tried deleting the .AppleSetupDone file to re-run the setup assistant after al the relevant updates have been installed.

My thought was that as the the other footage is DVPro NTSC converting it to DV NTSC would be transcoding to a closely matching format. But it didn't seem to help any...
NTSC DV is 4:1:1, which is terrible on its own, and doubley terrible if the originating H.264 clips were SD, as you'd be going from 4:2:0 to 4:1:1, so effectively ending up with 4:1:0.

It takes 578mhz to do one w/u a day. Therefore that would mean an 867mhz would do 1.5 a day (accurate, thats what my PB does) and a 266mhz would do one every 2.1 days, also accurate. Someone compare my equation to their computer. All you do is take your CPU speed and divide it by 578. It *should* give you roughly the w/u you complete in one day.
