My wife had Henna on her hand when she went for her FP. The officer asked her did not take her finger prints and asked her to send that letter to their office by mail for re-scheduling the appointment. She sent the letter and got another appointment within 40 days. No problems in the second appearance.
That is stupid .... how does having henna affect fingerprints???

Invite the Senators to this meeting.
Make them come since we pay Taxes. That way , they know that there is legal Immigration Community .
Invite the Heads of DMV so that they can address our driving problems
Invite SSN people local heads.
When we do this, we can pay for their expenses to join us in that meet.
I am open to it. Not only by contribution but also working.
Try to get IV members to join the State chapters first. Try to get the community to support IV first. Try to get the community make phone cals send letters first.
It is a step by step process. We have to get enough buzz and enough support from within our own community before we can call politicians or VIPs to come to our meets and greets

hi saint, nothing against you, i wonder what is the freakin logic USCIS uses to decide on 2 year EAD approval, here i am with pd not being current for atleast next 2-3 years (given the halt of eb3-I), 2nd ead extn, in my 8th year of h1b, i got a one year EAD extn, where as a eb2 person gets a 1 year validity...i only wish we can know whats going in the minds of these decision makers..
Non taken my friend. I was surprised myself to see 2 yr extns. I think they have some wierd fuzzy logic on approvals..which is beyond our intelligent minds:cool:.

Hei... when you have the opportunity for an earlier PD just take it. Nobody can predict how EB1 PD will be in future. You loose nothing.
A more aggressive approach is to do concurrent filing for EB1-140 and another 485. But I wont do that.

Ur RD is dec21st.Now according to nsc processing date they r processing jan1st 2007 cases.So wait till next update if u didnt get before that u ask ur lawyer or employer to open SR.i dont think there is any paper work for that.They need to call and talk to IO and open.but i donno the procedure so check with quizzer.
I think you mean I need to see which dates are processing @ NSC; if my I-140 reciept date exceed more than 60 days then I can request my Attorney to got for SR(Service Request)?
Please confirm guys..by the way what are the documents we need to provide to go for SR or Attorney will handle it?

I actually sent evl instead of paystubs. I cant produce paystubs because I am not currently working with them

I got mine using EAD last year at Baytown, TX - I would say, it is one of the coolest DPS in Houston. All they need is your EAD and old license.
The license would state that you are a temporary visitor and your status expires the day your EAD expires. Around the EAd expiry time, you get a notice that your drivers license will be invalid if you do not update the DPS with your new status information.
I got greened in September, but still using the same old license as it is valid till September 2011.

To the person who gave me red with the comment "post the valid reason." That was not necessary, you could have just sent me a message.
Anyhow, the reason is that the company I trusted & toiled for past 8 years is down the tubes, after having faced years of lies, deceit & false promises. I know it's all my fault for being so trusting, so now I am trying to forget that pain & treatment & just progress moving forward.
So from what I gather, I can apply for a H1-B now, but it will be only for 1 year? I want to do a "new" H1 instead of a "transfer", since the company finances are a BIG ZERO or -VE, so I have no paystubs to show. And then eventually I want to file new GC with this new company.

He is active - he is a big guy now, sometime back, I approached him for his autograph, and he said he does not have time to sign autographs :D:D:D
Jokes apart - Mark is very much in IV. He is involved at the national level more than the State level - he does make sure he is in conference calls and if we have a meetup in his area, he will make it for sure.

may i make a sincere suggestion. Please, go back to school, take a course in english grammar, writing mechanisms and reading comprehension. People can better respond to you, when they understand whatever is it you are asking. You may also be able to file as a qualified eb2 applicant. No pun intended.

I think snathan is correct. if you look at the 485 denial letter it should say something related to EAD is invalid or something like that.

EB-3-I is stuck in 01...not likely to move till Oct and then in OCT08..it will move by couple three months for the next 12 months till OCT 09..What are the option for EB-3 stuck here..from 01, 02, 03 ....
1) Convert to EB-2 ?.
2) wait for legislation from Logfren to pass
3) wait another 3 years...already in the Queue from 01..
If I choose to convert to EB-2..I have to put in a PERM and then I-140..what is the time line for getting my LC thro PERM and then my I-140 in EB2 cleared?? based on the current processing times..
Do I wait to see if Logfren's legislation goes thro ..if doesnt go with the conversion to EB-2...???
Please help me decide...

Lofgren bill passing before election and recaptured numbers becoming available from 10/2008. All categories may become current and remain current for 6 months to a year.
OR
EB3 ROW becoming current atleast by end of next fiscal year (by 09/2009, so that EB3 I would start progressing at a faster rate.
OR
you (and everyone in EB3 I) would be asking the same question even after 3-4 years.
Oh well, Happy July 4th!!

Last November I quit my job in the US and left the country as well. Two days ago, I received an email saying my 485 is approved, and card production was ordered. The card will go to an address in the US where someone can forward me the mail.
What should I do? Try to enter the U.S. with the card? What to say to POE officials? WIll I be questioned?

how can i find out which USCIS office my prev (first) EAD application was sent to? I'm a July filer, when i applied for 485 and EAD i lived in NJ and my employer was in NJ as well. The receipt notice of EAD application came from California Service Center. and there is nothing on the EAD card about which office it was approved by. The 485/EAD/AP all was filed by my employer's attorney, they will not respond to my questions anymore. i don't think i have copy of the EAD application send last year july. Anybody got older version of I-765, older than "7/30/07" edition?
What to write? folks, please respond ASAP, i plan to file on Monday(6/30) morning.

Could not believe this thread was not on the first page. The lack of response so far is not going to shake my belief that ultimately most of you will contribute. Maybe you have not cashed your check yet?
